#6: A Couple of random thoughts on purposes

Recently, I have a bit of an existential crisis involving ones’ principles, purposes, and people, so written below is a piece of note I wrote to myself in contemplation:

If one’s purpose is to dramatically change their lives, it’s foolish to resist changes.

If one’s purpose is to live comfortably, it’s foolish to make it uncomfortable.

If one’s purpose is to love, it’s foolish to not love,

Haha, these seem to be rather obvious after writing them all down. In order to get what we want, at least don’t do things against the purpose. Otherwise, it’s unimaginable to be happy or satisfied sustainably.

Ones can have various purposes, then what to do when they conflict, what about others’?

I don’t know, for internal conflicts, it seems possible to figure it out all by self, it’s all about prioritization. Can’t quite apply the same prioritization to people. Compromising, being silent, avoid overreaching sound reasonable, but it’s complicated if not compromising, not being silent, not reaching are one’s goals. Dropping people of difference off is another easy option, and it’s true that smart ones may be good at picking and kicking the right people, but history proofed that often went dead wrong. One can’t keep themselves from being wrong times in their lives, and people are the pinnacles of opportunities, of being human.

Being not rational (or perhaps radical, like the way I kinda am now)? One will risk not being happy and satisfied with their existence, like… ever.

So what? Being flexible, being sophisticated, being selective?

Another obvious solution, the pacifist one, obviously makes the purpose a hundred times harder. To be honest, I too believe this is the answer, for if not, life would have been much easier, for anyone ever in the history. The problem is, if that’s the case, there will be no obvious guidance on how to get what you want for sure. Life will always be hide and seek (as it seems to be).

Oh, or one can elaborate the perfect purpose, but that itself is another tremendous task.

Wait, suppose nature knows things, natural selection is the boss, and a huge number of people seek comforts for their lives, is it the purpose, regardless of all the ordinaries attached to the idea? Probably. Indeed sounds like a philosophy teaching. How does one check that? Oh. Little too much to comprehend at the moment, let’s think about that later, for it’s definitely an interesting idea.
